Theresa Caputo – Long Island Medium

Via my job, Thomas and I got free tickets to see Theresa Caputo, the Long Island Medium, while she was in Atlanta this Wednesday. I have to say – the show was really interesting/entertaining, and it was a total bonus that it was free (minus the $20 we spent on parking…ugh).

We were super lucky that the tickets we were given were on ROW B! With our excellent placement, we happened to be sitting across the aisle from Monte Durham from Say Yes to the Dress Atlanta. Typically I’m against fan-boying out in these types of situations, but Teresa (my friend and coworker) and I decided we needed a picture and didn’t really care that we probably looked ridiculous getting it. Monte seems to be more fond of Teresa than he is of me :(

The show itself was very interesting – I can say for sure that I’ve never seen anything like it.

Theresa (Caputo) has a fun and kind of cray personality, and she spent the majority of the 2 hour show in the audience walking through the 4000 person crowd reading random audience members. Whether you believe in it personally or otherwise, in the end I felt like many of the people there were mourning lost loved ones and looking for answers, which isn’t something I’m going to squash.

I’m sad that this picture didn’t capture Theresa’s extremely sparkly Louboutins…but the picture probably would not have done them justice!

After the show, we (unexpectedly) confirmed that the green wristbands handed over with our tickets meant that we got to have a meet and greet with Theresa herself! The line was wayyy long, but we waited anyway, because duh. It’s Theresa Caputo. I can honestly say that Theresa was sweet and funny in person, and I was pretty stoked that she even said she liked my name:)

Myself, Theresa 1, and Teresa 2. We planned the stripes (but not really). And obviously I intended to look sickly and pale.

Being that I’m obsessed with nails, and TCaputo mentioned during the show that she always has hers done, I decided we needed a picture of our nails together. I told her that I was a collector [remembering at the end of the statement that I hadn’t specified nailĀ polish, making myself seem like a huge creep] and she was nice enough to take this photo without making me feel completely insane.

She even asked me at the end if I was going to blog about it – I told her I was, and that she should Google for it later. I’m almost famous!
